As you may have heard by now, the American congress has shelved both the SOPA and PIPA bills indefinitely after heavy protest from all around the world. Even as Europeans, these two bills could have affected us in negative ways. A world wide (web) crisis has been averted, but only thanks to the great support by everyone out there.

Will we see bills and laws like this again? Most likely, but hopefully, they’ll be targeted more towards their goals (aka illegal content and copyright infringements) and won’t just carpet bomb the entire free world we love known as the internet.
